Josey Ranch Lake Public Library - Carrollton Public Library

The Carrollton Public Library at Josey Ranch Lake is proud to be joining the network of Family Place Libraries. Since our initial training in May 2023, we have been able to redesign our Kids Place to include more elements that facilitate learning through intentional play. Our families love playing make-believe in our kitchen and building together with our manipulatives. 

In the past year we have been able to host two sessions of the Parent/Child Workshop (called Family Place Playgroup at the Carrollton Public Library) and have greatly enjoyed the engagement we experienced from our families in the community. In our Family Place Playgroup we have been able to partner with local organizations who are also passionate about supporting families with young children. As a library, we feel more connected to our families and community than ever before.
