The mission of the Cooke County Library is to provide all persons in the community with a safe and confidential environment in which they may freely pursue intellectual, educational, and recreational interests through diverse services and resources collected in a variety of formats.
Being a Family Place Library participant allows the Cooke County Library to fulfill this part of our mission and provide a much needed and worthy service to our community. Since we created our play space in the children's area the number of library visits and check outs has increased. We have families who have play dates at the Library now. Hearing the laughter and "play” between children and caregivers is a blessing.
We held our first set of workshops in the Fall of 2024. We had good attendance and the response was very positive. We look forward to having more and working with more local organizations.
We're excited to see where this adventure takes all of us!
