The Roanoke Public Library is excited to now be a part of the Family Place Libraries. We have added many new toys to our newly configured children’s area. It is an inviting play space that is used and enjoyed by families in our community. We have another special play area for children ages 2-6 called Little Oak Street.  It provides developmental play and learning, and is open daily from 11-1 and 3:30-5:30.

We are proud to have offered our first Parent Child Workshop: Play, Learn, Grow, in January of 2025. We will have this program at least twice a year. We offer other programs for younger children, including Sensory Play Time and Parachute Play Date throughout the year. We also have regular weekly story times: Baby Rhyme Time, Namaste and Read and Preschool Story Time.
