University Park Public Library

UP Public Library became a Family Place Library in 2024. We established a Parenting Collection, held our first "Chat and Play" Parent-Child Workshops, and opened our Family Place Play Area in fall of 2024. Since becoming a Family Place Library, our staff has created a Play Area filled with developmentally appropriate toys for children ages 0 to 5, along with a parenting collection of books and resources for caregivers in our community. In addition, our Chat and Play workshops offer caregivers the opportunity to connect with child development professionals in our area.
