Orange Branch - Cuyahoga County Public Library

Our patrons tremendously appreciate the additional services that we have been able to offer with Family Place Libraries' support.  Twice a year, we offer a workshop called Play, Learn, and Grow that gives parents and other adult caregivers the opportunity to play with their kids in our storytime room.  Both a librarian and a community expert are present at each session to respond to caregivers' questions and to model strategies for using play to support each child's development. Our patrons have repeatedly shared with us how much they appreciate the program!  They really value having the opportunity to connect with other caregivers, librarians, and community experts such as nurses and audiologists.  Patrons also appreciate our parenting book collection, which features titles on topics ranging from breast feeding to toilet training. We really appreciate the support that we have received from Family Place Libraries and look forward to continuing to support caregivers and young children in the years to come.
