Solon Branch Library - Cuyahoga County Public Library

Becoming a Family Place library has given us more opportunities to connect with families and help them find the resources they're looking for. We have a beautiful Family Place banner patrons see as they walk into the Children's Room and our "Play, Learn, and Grow" programs (the Family-Child Workshops) have been received with positive feedback. Several families who have English as their second language were attending this program and made a point of letting the librarian know how much this program helped them not only better understand how to play with their child, but also what resources are available in our community to help them and their child. When a community expert was available to attend a program, our patrons had that one-on-one opportunity to discreetly ask questions for free that they otherwise might not have known how to get answered.
