Manchester Public Library feels the Family Place programs in addition to other literacy storytime programs, events and play groups, bring families and children together and helps to build a strong literate, welcoming community.  Manchester recently voted per referendum to build a new library for the town, there is no doubt that our children's programming helped to create the goodwill that was necessary for that type of community support.

We have found that families, especially first time moms, are really craving the face to face with their peers.  Attendance at our programs has been very active especially with children from the birth to three age group.
