At the Nashua Public Library, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for families to learn and grow together. Since April 2019, we have proudly been recognized as a 'Family Place Library,' symbolizing our commitment to fostering family engagement and early childhood literacy.

Twice a year, we host engaging Play and Learn Workshops tailored for children from birth to age three, fostering early development and nurturing a supportive environment for parents and caregivers. In 2023, we extended our community involvement through the Family Place Libraries Initiative by hosting our mobile Play and Learn Workshop at Marguerite's Place for the second consecutive year. This initiative, complementing our ongoing efforts, includes annual workshops held both within our library walls and out in the community. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with parents and caregivers building connections and benefiting from the wealth of resources and expertise provided by our dedicated professionals.

In addition to these workshops, our library offers a diverse array of literacy, play-based, and STEAM programming designed for children aged birth to five. Our commitment to serving families led to a transformative redesign of the Children's Room in 2023, now featuring a dedicated MakerSpace and an updated Family Place area. These enhancements provide comfortable seating and privacy for breastfeeding caregivers, solidifying our library as a welcoming place for families to learn, grow, and connect.
