Commack Public Library

The Children's Department of the Commack Public Library is the heart of the library.  On any given day, you will hear laughter and the sounds of parents and caregivers reading books to their children. You will see children happily playing together in our toy area with each other. You will see parents and caregivers creating friendships with people they have met in one of our many early childhood programs that are free for our cardholders. You will see a vibrant space with so much activity and families who consider our library an extension of their own homes.  Our patrons continuously compliment us on our attention to detail, child friendly atmosphere and the variety of activities and programs we offer.  We are extremely proud of the free programs and services we provide to members of our community. The Commack Public Library has become the place where Commack residents come to gather as Commack, NY is in the middle of Long Island, NY and does not have a traditional "downtown" area or community center that is the focal point for members of the town to come together and we are happy to be the place our residents look forward to coming to.
