Our library branch is well used and well loved. Families regularly attend programs as well as gathering together to use our space for play groups. The sound of children can pretty much always be heard. We are located near our airport, and families love the travel and exploration theme our children's space has, and all the open imaginative play opportunities the space provides. The layout provides a secluded, secure area for families to play in while not disturbing other library patrons with noise or activity. The area was designed with bright, engaging colors and interactive pieces (sensory boards, steering wheels, play kitchen) that can keep our little ones busy for hours. Our toys are sanitized on a regular schedule, and deep cleaned or replaced as needed.
Our library is located in the heart of the city, surrounded by schools, businesses, and residential areas. People often express how much they enjoy and value the library. Our branch recently opened an Innovation Center maker space in early August 2023 and we will be opening a Student Success Center providing homework help and learning enrichment in Fall 2023.
