The Altoona Library has a large, colorful, inviting early childhood play/learn space. There are a variety of activities for children to engage in including a kitchen area, play house, building materials, doll house, puzzles, games, etc. Programming for young children is available most days of the week. A highlight for patrons of all ages is a visit with our library ferrets, Maya, Draco, Apollo, and Juniper. Many families enjoy using our space. We also are a community resource space for supervised visitations, counseling sessions, tutoring, occupational therapy, and numerous groups of children and adults with special needs.
