Our Family Place area features three developmentally appropriate zones for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Bright and spacious, we offer comfortable seating, age appropriate toys that encourage growing imaginations, and lots of wonderful books for sharing and learning. Kids can make dinner in the play kitchen, build with an assortment of colorful blocks, put on a puppet show for friends and family, or play in our rotating dramatic play center. And our Family Place area continues to grow and evolve. In 2017, thanks to the contribution of a generous local donor, our Family Place area saw the addition of a train table and several interactive activity panels. We also have a team of volunteers who help to deep clean the toys for both the public Family Place area, and the toys used for our Parent/Child workshops, as well as changing out the toys to help keep them fresh and exciting for our youngest patrons to enjoy. In addition to our fun, inviting Family Place area, we also offer a wide range of programs for our preschool families all throughout the year that range from weekly storytimes to new and engaging STEM programs. When asked what they thought of our library's children's area and preschool programs, one caregiver responding to a recent survey said, "We love it! The whole children's area is great! "
