The James V. Brown Library was the first Family Place Library in the state of Pa. The continued and dedicated focus towards supporting children's learning during the first 5 years of life, during dynamic and rapid brain development has always been at the heart and core of our community services. This thoughtful and intentional focus stemmed from Family Place Library Training. The library has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Library Association for 9 consecutive years with a Carolyne L. Smith Best Practices in Early Learning Award. Our community supports and advocates such a strong passion for early learning, that we have held a successful campaign for a new Storymobile for our impactful outreach efforts into the early childhood educational community.
