Our Family Place Library has a great impact on our community which consist of working parents. In some families, both members work two jobs and siblings sometimes become surrogate parents. Even though the parents have a busy/job orient life they try to incorporate quality time with their children. Parents come in with their children to let them play in the KID ZONE while they read or work on the computer. Our FPL is near the KID ZONE which is accessible to the parents whose child may be playing in the KID ZONE. The advantage of the PPL being located gives the parent a chance to browse the section and in many cases the check out the material to continue to read. We have a variety of handouts that are given to us from various organizations such as the health department, planning council, literacy reading program, just to name a few. New books are introduced to parents during the workshops and are put on display. Family Place is a valuables part of our library and is appreciated by our patrons/parents.
