We couldn't restart programming until January of 2023, once we attained more staff. We started small, with just a weekly Babygarten, and the patrons started coming pretty regularly. Then, we had a large book sale in February during the school break, and our advertisements and word of mouth brought just under 200 people to the library in two hours. After that, our children's programs took off. Our KidZone is used every day, by locals visiting, day cares, and people just passing through with their children. We get compliments on our toys and space from the parents. We have parents sitting down and reading to their toddlers in the space. We have parents sitting by while children play with the toys, or color their coloring sheets, or pretend to operate a restaurant. Our KinderSTEM and Babygarten programs are very popular. We had more people visit the space in 2023 than in 2022, which indicates to me that the community is starting to recognize that we are open again after the pandemic, and we are available as a programming resource, and literature resource for parents and children, and a space for children and their parents to play.
