We have a good-sized play area with built-ins including a kitchen; car; many toys, puppets and puzzles always available for children and parents.  Since becoming a FPL, we built up our Parenting Collection of books and brochures, which are next to the Concept Books and Board Books collections. We usually get about 1,200 children and parents playing in our space monthly. We offer two 5-week PCW series in the Fall and Spring, Baby Club for caregivers with children birth to 3 and Preschool Club for caregivers with children aged 3 and 4. We also host three times a week a play group called FamilySpace that for families and children birth to age 5.  FamilySpace provides a variety of materials and opportunities that are perfect for caregivers to help children explore and learn social skills, counting, sorting, matching, and much more. FamilySpace staff offer caregivers concrete supports and resource information in an informal setting. Additionally, our Children's Staff is very proactive in connecting with parents and their little ones, plus connecting with outside community resources for PCW experts and to collaborate on reaching more families.
