Melissa Public Library’s Family Place is a beloved space where families can learn, play, and connect. With approximately 2,000 visitors each month, our developmentally appropriate play area provides a safe and engaging environment for young children while caregivers explore our collection of parenting books and resources. We offer a variety of early childhood programs, including Walking and Waddling Toddler Craft, Baby/Toddler Playtime Station, Multilingual Music and Movement, Baby Storytime, Toddler Storytime, and more—all designed to foster early literacy, social development, and caregiver-child bonding. Our outreach efforts extend beyond the library, with storytimes at local businesses and community spaces, ensuring families have access to enriching experiences both in and outside of our walls. At Melissa Public Library, we strive to create a space where patrons feel supported, engaged, and part of a thriving community.
