Freeman Library’s Children’s Department has changed completely since we became a Family Place Library! It has become just that, a place where families gather. Our Department has an Early Learning space with interactive materials including books, age-appropriate toys, puzzles, dramatic play items, blocks and more. The space is available whenever the library is open. We supports parents as their child's first teachers. We work to provide visiting families with the space, place and time for bonding and learning through our play spaces, programs and staff interactions Caregivers have made comments that their children look forward to coming to the library to play with the toys and see friends. Freeman Children’s Department values young children and devotes eight programs a week to children age 0-5. Families come to the library for both programming, and a pleasant play place to meet their friends.
