The large meeting room at the Stella Link library, set up for the Family Place Play Series. There are numerous toys spread throughout the room, including blocks, a play kitchen, a puppet theater, dolls, puzzles, cars, and more.

The McGovern-Stella Link Regional Library of the Houston Public Library system offers a Family Place Play Series twice a year, in the spring and the fall. Over the course of this five-week program, parents and young children get together with local professionals to learn through play. Topics covered include early childhood literacy, speech & language, child development, nutrition, and music & movement.

Apart from the semi-annual Family Place Play Series, the McGovern-Stella Link location provides early childhood programs and an open play area for children year-round. Visit the library's website at www.houstonlibrary.org for open hours and a calendar of family-friendly events.
