Marathon Public Library

Our library is a tiny 800 sq. ft building. Due to the small size, we have our twice yearly Learn and Play program off site. That being said, we have a dedicated children's area where all children's books and parenting material is held. We rotate toys (both fun & educational) weekly. We are presently in a capital campaign raising funds to add on to our building planning to break ground in 2024.
The impact our little library has had on the community is astounding. This is the single place in town to come learn, share ideas, hangout or just be accepted. We have a very close partnership with the local school and are currently helping them revamp their libraries. They allow us to have special programming on their campus such as Missoula Children's Theater 2 times a year and numerous literacy nights, book cart and science night. All ages are welcome to these events.
