Red Land Community Library - York Libraries

We have a dedicated Children's Room that we use for the Family Place program. Since we are closed on Wednesday mornings, that is the perfect opportunity for offering the program. We have many new toys and manipulatives that are only for use during the Family Place workshops. The Family Place wall decal is a 24/7 advertisement for the program.

We are able to offer the program two times a year-once in the spring and another in the fall. Registration fills up quickly.

Since the Family Place workshops are in the Children's Room, families have an opportunity to also check out picture books and to look through the Parent Collection.

Having visits from community resource professionals has helped to ease some of the anxiety families might be feeling about their child's development and also the transition to Kindergarten.
