South Garland Branch Library

The South Garland Branch Library is proud to be part of the Family Place Library network! We welcome families with children of all ages to our much-loved Children’s Area that is filled with play spaces and activity stations to encourage everyone to play, make new friends, and discover books together. We offer a wide range of programs for our youngest patrons and their parents and caregivers that range from energetic weekly storytimes and play sessions, a monthly art program, and special events throughout the year. To support our parents and caregivers, especially in their role as their little one’s first teacher, we have free family resources, a new Parenting collection of materials, and have begun to offer special classes. We offer our Family Place Playtime workshop series twice a year for our families with toddlers to enjoy and benefit from the expertise shared by our visiting community professionals. As we continue our growth as a Family Place Library we love seeing how the library has truly become a community destination for our families to gather, learn, play, and grow together!
