Family Place Libraries has entered into an exciting partnership with the National Center for Learning Disabilities revolving around their Get Ready to Read! (GRTR!) initiative. Get Ready to Read! is an early literacy program designed to help parents, early educators, and child care professionals ensure that young children are equipped with the fundamental skills necessary for learning to read.

Booklists to accompany the Get Ready to Read! Activity Cards

The Middle Country Public Library Children's Services Department has created these bibliographies to go with the Get Ready to Read! activity cards.  There are three books listed for each card.  They are perfect for suggestions to parents or to include in programs that may focus on particular activities.  There is a list for the emergent writing activities,  print knowledge activities, and linguistic awareness activities.
